Martin:

The Swamp Dawgs resident guitarist and shouter first picked up a guitar when he was 13.  Martin is a veteran of many bands in the years running up to the formation of the Swamp Dawgs in 2007, including latterly, Zen Machine Gun along with Phil. Martin also finds time to the lead guitarist and backing vocals in Stoke on Trent band The Grim.

Martin is a multi-instrumentalist, who can also play piano, keyboards, bass guitar and didgeridoo.  Martin only sings because nobody else will do it, and you get more money if it’s only split 3 ways. 

If you want to buy Martin a drink, Jack Daniels or, another (good) Bourbon would be accepted gratefully.  Favourite foods are Lasagne, Curry or Curried Lasagne.

Musical influences are too many and too varied to list, but include Cream, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan.  Martin’s favourite guitarist just has to be Jimi Hendrix.  Favourite Bluesman of all time is Howlin Wolf, and favourite songs that the Swampdawgs play are, ALL OF THEM!!!
